Cornet with three disc valves, the touches for the valve levers numbered “1 2 3” Signed on a plaque “ 78 / BY HER MAJESTY'S / ROYAL LETTERS PATENT / J.SHAW INVENTOR / (Royal Coat of Arms) / KOHLER SOLE MAKER / 35 HENRIETTE STT / COVENT GARDEN LONDON” made c.1840.

Cornet in brass with silver mounts, three stoelzel valves each with a protective cover, with Macfarlane's clapper-key, signed on the bell garland "Made by / F.PACE / 15 King Street / Westmr" made in London c.1835. In original wooden case with two tuning bits, three crooks and silver rim brass mouthpiece.
